We regularly need new Cod Heads, so would appreciate contributions from lifelong supporters of the Mariners. This week's Cod Head is Nick Bagshaw.

Fishy:
Tell us a bit about yourself?

Nick:
Hi my name's Nick Bagshaw, I have always supported the Mariners. I lived in Grimsby for 13 years before moving to Ascot so I am now a travelling Mariner. If there are any other travelling mariners in this area I would love to hear from you.

Fishy:
When did you first start supporting the Mariners, and what was your first game?

Nick:
I've supported the Mariners ever since I can remember and the first game I ever went to was against West Brom in the 80's. Nigel Batch was in goal and I think we lost 3-2.

Fishy:
Who is the best player you ever saw wearing a Grimsby Town shirt?

Nick:
Ivano Bonetti - the lad just oozed class.

Fishy:
If there is one game you were allowed to go back in time and watch what would it be and why?

Nick:
FA Cup semi Final vs Wolves as I reckon the atmosphere would of been better then the Auto Windscreen and Play Off finals.

Fishy:
What are your favourite and least favourite away grounds?

Nick:
My favourite Is Maine Road absolute. My least favourite is Oxford's Manor Ground as I remember a few seasons back standing in that shed with no shelter and the rain just kept coming.

Fishy:
What, in your opinion, are GTFC's best and worst seasons since you have been supporting them?

Nick:
Worst when Laws got us relegated and the best has to be the Wembley double.

Fishy:
What is the most eventful day you have ever had in the course of following the Mariners?

Nick:
Auto Windscreens vs Bournemouth. Classic day sat in the pub from 11 went back to the pub sang Grimsby songs all night and missed the train back to Ascot so spent the night at Richmond train station looking like clowns as we all had black and white face paint on.

Fishy:
Who is the greatest ever GTFC manager?

Nick:
Alan Buckley. He used to find some superb signings and in the two spells as manager he did more than a lot of the other clowns have done put together.

Fishy:
How many games a season do you get to now, and what do you do while Town are playing games that you can't get to?

Nick:
Get to 30 - 35 a season. My mum still lives in Cleethorpes so come down for all Saturday home games only awkward ones are when they are away on a weeknight as it can be a long round trip. When I cant watch a game I watch skysports.com to check the goals going in

Fishy:
Name your all-time starting eleven since you have been watching Town?

Nick:
Coyne, McDermott, Futcher, Handyside, Donovan, Groves, Burnett, Bonetti, Lester, Woods
Subs, Gilbert, Childs, Southall

Fishy:
If you have any, do your children support the Mariners?

Nick:
No, but they will!

Nick Bagshaw
