Good News As Groves Moves For Players!

WHEN Georges Santos left Blundell Park on Tuesday bound for France he said; "I'll be back - I hope. There's no rush. There's plenty of time to make a decision, but Grimsby gave me a chance to play football and I am happy here," he told Mariners Net.

Paul Groves recently made Santos a second, improved offer and is hoping to keep Santos at Blundell Park.

Also today, Preston boss Craig Brown, said that Paul Groves is targeting Michael Keane either to buy or loan. "Grimsby have expressed an interest in Michael and we are talking about it.

"Obviously Keano is a player with a big future but we have good provision in midfield at the moment so it may well be we will extend the loan or even transfer him with, of course, an add-on clause if he became Roy Keane instead of Michael Keane.

"If he wants to go and we can arrange the right financial package, he can go to Grimsby but I'll be happy if he stays here and it really is between our chairman and the Grimsby people whether he leaves or stays."
