The Fishy - Grimsby Town FC

Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

Thanks Leicester!

I was just starting to hate Leicester City. Smug Gary Lineker, constant name dropping and then buying into the club. Surviving by going into administration without being penalised. And then getting promoted!

And rubbing our noses in it with an England game at their new ground. And Muzzy Izzet's goal against us. And that Carphone Warehouse fella, born in Grimsby I believe, puts money into Lineker's buy-out. Not impressed.

Now they seem set to take Danny Coyne off the Mariners' wage bill.

This will be a GOOD THING. Coyne did not have a great season last year. We cannot afford his wages. We need him to leave NOW so we can get a new economy goalkeeper. With his reported £3000 to £4000 a week wages no longer an issue, we can justify the signings of Des Hamilton, Iain Anderson, Marcel Cas and Tony Crane. Maybe we could even offer Georges Santos an improved deal? Maybe Aidan Davison will return?

So thanks Leicester. But I still hope you get relegated. I wanna watch Coyne play against us in Division One next season.........
