Town Reject Boulding Bid! - New Loan Player!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 29/01/2004

GRIMSBY Town have today turned down a bid for Michael Boulding from Peterborough United which was substantially more than an offer received from Barnsley.

Mariners Net reports that Town's rejection of the latest offer further enforces Town's determination to hang onto their leading scorer.

Peterborough boss Barry Fry previously announced that he wanted to sign him in the summer after Town rejected his offer £50,000.

But it seems Boulding is standing by his decision to wait until he is free in the summer before making any plans on his future, which is good news for Town.

This decision could cost Boulding a great deal of money so it is good to see him holding on at Town.

In other news today, Paul Groves is hoping to have a new face in at Blundell Park by tomorrow

"He's agreed to come and his club have agreed to let him go out on loan, Groves told Mariners World today."

"Because of the weather, he has had trouble getting here - hopefully he'll be here by Friday."
