Question of the Week

Is football a business or a sport?

Pair on Trial

GRIMSBY are bringing two unnamed players to Blundell Park for a trial next week. The unknown midfielder and striker are expected to play in Wednesday's reserve game at Lincoln City, and will be named on Monday morning by the club.

The Mariners' squad has been severely depleted in recent weeks. Town have lost Sestanovich, Hildred, Carchedi, Gordon and Cramb all in the last month, and are looking to strengthen the team in key areas, such as the left-side of midfield.

Two players who have been linked with Grimsby in recent days are Ross County's Steven Mackay (midfielder) and Cambridge United's Cameroon left-sided midfielder Kingsley Mbome (pictured), who spent two years at Sheffield United.
