My Say on the Ban

HAVING sat back and listened ( and read) to all the comments on the Radio Humberside saga I feel its time to add my own thoughts on the subject.

Are GTFC and the powers that be actually being fair to its supporters? I doubt it. Being the only local radio station that covers sport in detail, we are now deprived of all contact with the Manager and players for either after-match comment and the usual mid-week updates.
As a supporter of GTFC I find it rather childish of the club to ban Humberside and its listeners because of comments made that they deemed ' unhelpful'. If that was a fair playing field every supporter in the land would be banned from their club for uttering the slightest criticism.
I expect half the Pontoon to be empty for ever because of all the criticism I listen to week in week out, let alone the abuse the manager and some of the players receive. Maybe its time to gag the fans too, because having your own view seems to be not the done thing.
Football fans always have been a fickle lot, being banned or gagged for having a different view and not being allowed to air that view sounds like an order from the Kremlin.
If Humberside don't do any more Town games this season then who can blame them? With no co-operation from the club its hardly surprising.
John Fenty has the Club at heart, of that I have no doubt, and we may well have gone under already without him. But that doesn't mean he has made the right decision, not in my view anyway, a view I might remind him, I am entitled too whether it fits his thinking or not.
As a supporter, I believe I am entitled to all avenues of news, be it the local rag or the local radio, the official web site or the Fishy. It's about time Mr Fenty and his co-directors reclaim the dummy they spat out and reintroduce radio Humberside.
Question of the week? Was Mr Fenty right in banning Humberside? If it comes out that he was then all web sites and newspapers will be banned with immediate effect.
Assuming I am not going to be banned, I'll be there on Saturday, if not, it's the ploggers for me, at least I can say what I want when they look and play crap. (You cant be banned from ploggers can you?)
