Young Quartet Sign New Deals

By: Rob Sedgwick

FOUR youngsters have signed new six-month deals to stay with the Mariners. Midfielder Ben Higgins and striker Danny North, both 18, have extended their contracts at Blundell Town.

19-year-old midfield pair Paul Ashton and striker Miles Chamberlain have also signed new deals

Town's Youth side last season won the Midlands Cup, but despite the silverware former manager Russell Slade was reluctant to select young players throughout his time at Blundell Park. Hopefully new Town boss Graham Rodger will be more willing to try out local talent.
