Who Are Ya: Stockport

WITH the new season almost upon us, it's time to cast an eye upon the teams in League Two for 2006-2007. Richard Hubbert turns his attention to Stockport.

Key PlayerLiam Dickinson. The 20 year old striker netted seven vital goals in the second half of last season that helped County retain their league status. Gannon's side will want a continuation of that form if they are to make a mark on this league. Dickinson is an awkward striker whose gangly frame poses problems for most defenders.
StrengthsCounty's form in the second half of last season was excellent. They will want to continue that form into the next campaign. The capture of Gareth Owen from Oldham should help shore up their defence.
WeaknessesStockport have made few summer signings and have a small squad of just 20 players. Jim Gannon will need to add the squad in the next few weeks to avoid another struggle.
Prediction22nd. Another dogfight could be on the cards for the Manchester side.

Next Team: Swindon
