Date: 16/07/2012
MIDFIELDER Derek Niven has joined Grimsby following a successful trial at the club. The 28-year-old has signed a one year contract at Blundell Park after impressing in trial games against Grimsby Borough and Gainsborough.
The Scot spent most of his career at Chesterfield where he made over 300 appearances, but was released in the summer.
