Stags Game Called Off

GRIMSBY'S game at Mansfield on Saturday has been postponed following a pitch inspection. With another cold night expected, the referee decided to call the game off 24 hours in advance.
That leaves the Mariners with a 16-day gap between the last game (Tranmere) and the next one (Harrogate on Boxing Day). Town then face a hectic three games in seven days over the festive period. With the weather expected to get warmer over the rest of the month, the hope is that there will be no further postponements.
