Turi Signs New Deal

TOWN midfielder Geza David Turi has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2027-28 season. The contract also includes an option for the club to keep the Faroese at Blundell Park for a further year should they choose.

Before today, Turi's contract was due to expire at the end of the season, so the club have secured his signature with plenty of time to spare. Turi, who scored his first goal against Bristol Rovers on Saturday, has noticeably improved since arriving in Cleethorpes last year and is one of Town's most important players, playing a pivotal role just in front of the back four.

Turi has made 40 appearances for the Mariners now, as well as becoming a regular international. He now has 9 caps for the Faroe Islands and has scored one international goal.
