Lennie Lawrence has brought in two new players on trial. The move continues Lawrence's search for suitable players to add to the Mariners squad. Today's news means that 7 players have now been given trials, including the pair announced today.
The two new trialists are Scot Neil Murray who was once with Derby County, Rangers and Dundee before going on a free transfer to German club FSV Mainz, and 22-year-old Carsten Lektonen from FC Midtyulland, in Denmark. The pair join 23-year-old German striker Sasha Lenhart, who has been on trial at BP for two weeks, and Spaniard Alvearez Goya. The pair have little chance to display to the manager their abilities with just one private game (against Doncaster). The fans have not been able to see either player yet, with the reserve game against Scunthorpe having been rained off. Reading midfielder Sean Evers was also to have played in that game.
