Campbell Deal On!

Grimsby Town have now agreed a fee for Leicester City midfielder Stuart Campbell of around £200,000 and will be completing the deal some time next week after manager Lawrence meets with Campbell's agent and ties up the loose ends.

Campbell is expected to sign a three-year contract with Lawrence telling the Grimsby Telegraph "We haven't done the deal yet. I've moved it on and I hope to get on with it on Monday.

We knew more or less what the fee was going to be a few weeks ago. "I've still got to speak to his agent but it's just a case of crossing the T's and dotting the I's."

This will be Lennie Lawrence's second signing after signing Willems for 160,000 during the season.

With Campbell endearing himself to the fans during his loan period at the club it will be welcome news to them that he is wishing to stay at Blundell Park and he will also prove to be a valuable addition to the squad and Lennie's plans for next season.
