Bradley Allen May Have Left Grimsby Town

Date: 21/02/2002

GRIMSBY Town striker Bradley Allen may have signed, or be on the point of signing, for Scunthorpe United. Yesterday we were first to reveal that Iron boss Brian Laws was about to raid his former club for the Blundell Park striker, who is on a Bosman in the summer.

Further information we have received today indicates that he has agreed terms with the Scunthorpe club and could be joining them as early as Friday and he could be in the Iron's team on Saturday.

With the signing of Martin Pringle today, the Mariners will not have a problem releasing him and our understanding is that they have now left it to Allen and Scunthorpe manager Brian Laws to agree personal terms and Town will free him immediately.

This is good news for Allen who has been released by Paul Groves on a free transfer as he will be able to stay in the local area and has a job available to him.

An announcement is expected from Grimsby Town Friday morning.
