Quick Mick Doubtful For Dons Clash

By: Richard Lord
Date: 21/03/2002

MICHAEL Boulding looks doubtful for Saturday's game at home against Wimbledon. The 6-goal striker hasn't trained all week after receiving a number of knocks to the head by Kevin Muscat in last weekend's victory at Wolves.

The former Mansfield forward is believed to be suffering from sinusitis and has been taking antibiotics in an attempt to be fit for the game against the Dons this weekend.

Boulding was reported feeling 'woozy' by manager Paul Groves, who also added: "Michael Boulding has been ill, so he's looking a little bit doubtful, but we'll have to see how he develops over the next couple of days."

If the speedy striker doesn't recover in time, the position is open to either Jonny Rowan or Phil Jevons. Rowan played and scored in the reserve game against Bury yesterday but hasn't started a first-team game since before Christmas.

Jevons is Town's top scorer with eight goals in all competitions and might be favoured over Rowan to partner Bradley Allen up front.
