Danny Butterfield To Stay At BP?
By: Bill Osborne

MIDFIELDER Danny Butterfield is one of the players out of contract in the summer and in the statements issued so far his name has not been mentioned. So the question is, does he figure in the plans of Paul Groves for the future?
One news source says that a number of clubs would be interested in him including Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County, both of whom had him watched.
But Butterfield is understood to wanting to stay at Blundell Park, as he came through the ranks of the Junior and Youth teams before gaining a first team place.
An announcement on the retained list is expected to be made soon and one would expect to see Danny's name on that list. But only Paul Groves knows the answer to that and he is presently making no comments.
