Is football a business or a sport?

November Player of the Month

Date: 08/12/2002

THE shortlist has been drawn up for the Player of the Month during November, as voted by the readers of The Fishy by filling in the voting form at the end of every match report.

Stuart Campbell (Midfield). Has returned to form, and rediscovered his goalscoring boots too, netting two goals during the month from midfield.
Appearances 5, Goals 2.
Simon Ford (Defender). Already a veteran at the heady age of 21. His month was marred by the sending off against Preston, which cost Town a much needed win.
Appearances 4. Goals 1.
Steve Livingstone (Forward). Veteran Livvo has had more comebacks than Mike Tyson, despite his career being blighted by injury in recent years, and is still knocking in the odd goal for Town.
Appearances 5. Goals 1.
Darren Mansaram (Forward). Like a fine wine, Darren will improve with age. The Doncaster-born former Youth Team player broke his scoring duck during the month against Preston, but has since been injured and missed the last two games.
Appearances 4. Goals 1.
John Oster (Midfield/Forward). In his second month on loan from Sunderland, and scored two goals during the month of November, including what was nearly the winner on his debut against Gillingham.
Appearances 5. Goals 2.
Alan Pouton (Midfield). Ever-popular midfielder, who wears his heart on his sleeve, and always gives 100%. Only booked twice during November!
Appearances 5. Goals 0.
