Anderson Returns

MIDFIELDER Iain Anderson today took part in training after missing the last eight games through a cartilage injury, three of which he was also suspended for after the first red card of his career against Port Vale.
The initial prognosis had been for a longer lay-off, but the former Preston winger could be back as early as Saturday's clash with in-form QPR at Blundell Park, after a quick recovery.
"Today was the first day back with the lads", Anderson told Radio Humberside. "There were a couple of twinges, but the specialist says that's normal".
Anderson started off the season in tremendous style, scoring a spectacular goal on his debut at Plymouth, and netting two more strikes before injury struck.
