GRIMSBY Town have drawn West Londoners Queens Park Rangers at home in the First Round of the FA Cup. The two clubs met only recently at Blundell Park in the League, and Rangers were fortunate to win 1-0 with an injury time goal.

Town have exited the competition at the first time of asking for three consecutive years, losing to Wycombe, York and Burnley (all after replays), so will feel they are "due" to progress further into the FA Cup this season.

The FA Cup is the only competition the Mariners are still involved with, having already been knocked out of the Carling Cup and LDV Trophy, again after just one game in each tournament.
