DARREN Barnard will be fit for Grimsby Town's FA Cup first round clash with QPR on Saturday after missing the 3-1 defeat at Rushden and Diamonds with a badly-bruised foot and is also hoping to be in the reserves side today against Darlington at Blundell Park.
Barnard told Stuart Rowson of the Grimsby Telegraph; "I thought I was going to be playing last Saturday but I couldn't kick a ball, I can't see it being a problem for the weekend. I'm confident of that. It's definitely eased off from how it was last week."
"It's still settling down and I'll take it easy in training. We've got a few clumsy ones in training, not naming any names."
