A Surfeit Of Strikers?

RUSSELL Slade completed his mission in style after finding not one, but two strikers, in time for the game against Rochdale today with both eligible to play if needed.
Paul Robinson, who played in the reserves fixture with permission of Brian Little this week has signed from Tranmere Rovers.
19 year old Chris Williams joins Town from tockport County where he has played since he was 12 years old. Mariners Net reports; "He only signed YT forms in July 2001 and Later that month he travelled with the first-team squad to Finland and scored against SC Kings after coming on as substitute. He became the club's third-youngest player to play in a first-team game when he came off the bench at Watford on November 10 2001."
This is good news for Town if they turn out to be what is needed. Russell Slade has found some good players this season and these two are a welcome addition to the pack. It is worth noting too that Darren Mansaram who was farmed out this week was himself only 20 and one would hope that the two new young players justify his exclusion.
