September Player of the Month

SEPTEMBER was a mixed month for the Mariners with several milestones: the first away win of the year, the first Macca goal for 7 years, and the first defeat to a non-league side since 1975! The Fishy's readers have drawn up a short list of six key individuals during September.

So here are the six nominations for September:

Jason Crowe
	Utility player in his second season at Town, now playing at left wing back. Had never scored until August, then up popped three successive goals!	Jason Crowe Profile
Terrell Forbes
	One of two defenders on short-term contracts at Blundell Park who have spent most of their careers at a much higher level. Forbes (23) until recently was a QPR player, but was released in the summer, and has joined Town whilst on trial at the Old Bailey.	Terrell Forbes Profile
Dean Gordon
	Former Palace and Middlesbro defender Dean Gordon is doubtless the most accomplished player at the club and has spent most of his career in the top flight. Good at passing, tackling and shooting! The day when one of Deano's free kicks go in cannot be far away!	Dean Gordon Profile
John McDermott
	Macca has once again regained a regular first team place after spending most of the last year in and out of the side. Town's longest serving player and record appearance holder scored his first league goal for seven years during the month of September.	John McDermott Profile
Stacy Coldicott
	Started against Cambridge, and Stacy's extra presence in midfield helped the Mariners record their first away win for 19 games. The former Baggie is yet to command a regular first team place this season.	Stacy Coldicott Profile
Ashley Sestanovich
