Young Joins Northwich

GRIMSBY defender Greg Young (21) has signed on a month's loan with Conference outfit Northwich Victoria. The left-sided defender has featured in 5 games for the Mariners this season, but has fallen down the pecking order since the return of Rob Jones and Glen Downey from injury.
Doncaster-born Young is understood to have requested a placement away from Blundell Park on loan to give him first team experience in a competitive environment. Striker Darren Mansaram has recently also gone on loan to a Conference club, where he has scored 3 goals in 5 games for the Shaymen.
Elsewhere at Blundell Park Graham Hockless is ruled out of tomorrow's game with Northampton after suffering with flu. Striker Ashley Sestanovich returned to training today after being missing all week since catching a virus.
