NEW signing Nick Fenton is poised to make his home debut against Macclesfield on Friday night, but the latest acquisition - midfielder Ricky Ravenhill - is suspended for the match and Town fans will have to wait three games before the Yorkshireman can make his bow.

Other than that Town have no fresh injury worries. Town stalwart John McDermott (calf) may once again miss out and striker Gary Cohen remains sidelined after undergoing knee surgery. Justin Whittle is fit again after not starting at Bury with a back injury and looks set to return.

Michael Reddy once again may feature in the match, although he is still awaiting an operation on his troublesome groin and may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Young striker Andy Taylor is on the verge of claiming a first team start, but may have to settle for a pace on the bench.

Central defender Rob Scott joined the Silkmen shortly before the transfer deadline, but will not be available for the match at Blundell Park on Friday night.

All-time top scorer Matthew Tipton is back at the club after unsuccessful spells at Mansfield and Bury, and is likely to feature.

Brian Horton's Macclesfield have had a miserable start to the season, surpassing that of even the Mariners. The Silkmen are rooted to the bottom of the table having not won a single one of their five league matches to date. Their only point of the season came in a 0-0 draw at home to Hartlepool.

Predicted Line-Ups

Town: Barnes, Croft, Fenton, Whittle, Newey, Bore, Bolland, Harkins, Toner, Jones, Rankin
Subs McIntosh, Beagrie, Reddy, Taylor, Boshell

Macclesfield (from) Brain, Brightwell, Swailes, Teague, McNulty, Bullock, Hadfield, Tolley, Navarro, Heath, Regan, McNeil, Robinson, Miles, Lee, Jacobs

Prediction: Town to win 2-0
