Squad Number:3
Height:5.10
Weight:10.02
Date of birth:31/10/1982
Place of birth:Sheffield
Position:Defender
Nationality:English
Transfer Fee:Free
Signed:27/06/2005
Under Contract:End of 2008-09
Previous Clubs:Cambridge Utd
Leyton Orient
Darlington (l)
Leeds
League Two Class:Experience at this level with his previous clubs.
Fishy Verdict:Newey is one of the most improved player at the club since the return of Alan Buckley. Newey has always had talent, but his distribution of the ball often let him down in the Slade/Rodger era. Since Buckley's arrival though Newey's passing has improved enormously and he has become a more complete full back.
