Grimsby manager Alan Buckley has managed to secure the services of Doncaster defender Sam Hird on a one-month loan deal at Blundell Park.
The 20-year-old former Leeds trainee has found first-team games hard to come by this season, making only three appearances for Sean O'Driscoll's side.
Hird enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Keepmoat Stadium from Leeds towards the end of last season and was signed permanently by Rovers in the summer.
Grimsby manager Alan Buckley has been looking for a replacement for defender Shaleum Logan, who recently returned to Manchester City following a successful one-month loan spell.
