Buckley Satisfied With Point

GRIMSBY manager Alan Buckley was satisfied with his team's performance at Wrexham which saw Town, in difficult conditions, extend their unbeaten away run to nine games
"It was not a game for the purist and it was difficult to deal with the strong swirling wind. The pitch wasn't conducive to good football, being bumpy and dry, which didn't do either team any favours", said Buckley.
"Neither goalkeeper was really tested all afternoon and defences were definitely on top. It was really a hard fought draw to be honest, from both teams' point of view. `Both teams worked tremendously hard, but neither could make any headway."
Buckley was satisfied with the defensive performance, especially after Grimsby conceded four goals last week at home to Dagenham.
"We have had a fantastic run, going 11 undefeated, but to lose as we did last week, in light of that, then a clean sheet was a good result, as our back three played well.Let's just hope we can carry on with that again."
Town's next fixture is the rearranged match with Morecambe in the Johnstone Paint Northern Area Final on Tuesday night.
