CHESTERFIELD striker Jack Lester could be out for three weeks with a badly broken nose. The former Mariner suffered the injury during Saturday's 4-2 win at home to Accrington and is likely to require surgery.
Lester has scored 24 goals in 34 games this season for Chesterfield, who together with Rochdale, Town need to drop a significant number of points in the remaining games this season if the Mariners are going to make the play-offs.
Town's chances of reaching the play-offs were this week given a boost when Rotherham were given a 10 point deduction for going into administration.
Rochdale's main handicap is having lots of games in hand, plus the Mariners still have to play Dale, albeit on on the infamous Spotland surface.
