LIAM Trotter is expected to return for the Mariners in Saturday's League Two game at Bury after missing last week's FA Cup game at Morecambe due to ineligibility for the FA Cup game at Morecambe.

Peter Till has been a major doubt after missing training all week with a hamstring problem, although he may recover in time.

Two other players who have recovered from injuries are skipper Matt Heywood (thigh) and 'keeper Phil Barnes (arm).

Heywood is by no means guaranteed to get back in the side though as Atkinson and stand-in captain 18-year-old Ryan Bennett look to have struck up a solid partnership.

Barnes also has made a number of mistakes in recent games and cannot be far from being dropped with Gary Montgomery waiting in the wings.

On-loan striker Chris O'Grady returns for Bury after being ineligible for last week's FA Cup loss to Gillingham.

Bury were amongst the early pace setters in League Two, but have fallen away in recent weeks.
