Newell Looking for New Keeper

GRIMSBY are looking to sign Ipswich Town goalkeeper Shane Supple on a month's loan. The 21-year-old has made over 30 first-team appearances for Ipswich and has also played for Ireland Under-21s.
It would appear that Newell has decided that Grimsby need to give their 'keeper Phil Barnes, their one ever-present this season, a rest. His understudy Gary Montgomery, a regular with the reserves, has not been given a chance, so Newell must feel that someone from outside the club was needed in order to improve results.
