20-YEAR-OLD striker Andy Taylor has been given a free transfer by the Mariners, despite having a year left on his contract and being well under the age to command a transfer fee.
The Grimsby-born forward who has been at the club from the age of 11, has been unable to command a first team place despite a promising start to his career when he looked a real prospect.
"I was gutted when I was told," Taylor told the Grimsby Telegraph. "Hopefully I will find a club somewhere else."
