We regularly need new Cod Heads, so would appreciate contributions from lifelong supporters of the Mariners. This week's Cod Head is Terry Hall.

Fishy:
When did you first start supporting the Mariners, and what was your first game?

Terry:
December 1958 - Grimsby 2 Liverpool 3

Fishy:
Who is the best player you ever saw wearing a Grimsby Town shirt?

Terry:
Paul Futcher

Fishy:
If there is one game you were allowed to go back in time and watch what would it be and why?

Terry:
Liverpool 1 Grimsby 2. Awesome night. Didn't think that we had a chance.

Fishy:
What are your favourite and least favourite away grounds?

Terry:
Favourite ground comfort wise Milton Keynes Dons and for food Aggborough, Kidderminster Harriers.
The worst ground is Accrington Stanley. Two old ones that were poor were Springfield Park, Wigan and The Shay, Halifax

Fishy:
What, in your opinion, are GTFC's best and worst seasons since you have been supporting them?

Terry:
Best season was the early eighties during the reign of George Kerr. Nearly got promotion to the top flight. Worst either last season or the late sixties under the guidance of Bill Harvey.

Fishy:
What is the most eventful day you have ever had in the course of following the Mariners?

Terry:
Losing 8-1 at Hartlepool. The coach hit a bollard near the ground and we had to wait for a replacement one after the game. Plus I lost the heel off one of my shoes !! Terrible Friday night.

Fishy:
What is the strangest thing you have ever done at a game?

Terry:
Was given a ticket by an ex-Town director at Deepdale, Preston only to get the wrong seat. It belonged to the Preston and England legend Tom Finney.

Fishy:
What is the worst game you've ever been to?

Terry:
Actually winning 2-0 at Hartlepool in the early nineties. It poured with rain all night and I was absolutely drenched. No shelter whatsoever. Still squelching when I arrived home about 3 hours later

Fishy:
Who is the greatest ever GTFC manager?

Terry:
Alan Buckley

Fishy:
What's the most amusing chant you've heard at a game?

Terry:
Sunderland fans singing in the sixties - "Goodbye Grimsby Goodbye, We'll see you again but we don't know when, Goodbye Grimsby Goodbye"

Fishy:
How many games a season do you get to now, and what do you do while Town are playing games that you can't get to?

Terry:
Get to 99% of all games. Only miss when been on holiday. Struggled to get away from work but quit my office job in 1993 so after that time hardly missed a game home or away.

Fishy:
Name your all-time starting eleven since you have been watching Town?

Terry:

Nigel Batch
Jon McDermottPaul FutcherChris NichollGary Croft
Joe WatersPaul GrovesDave Gilbert
Clive MendoncaRon RaffertyRalph Hunt
