Town Make Signing

THE Mariners have landed another young gun from the Premier League today to bolster the squad ahead of Saturday's vital clash againsts relegation rivals Cheltenham.

18-year-old Wes Fletcher from Ormskirk has joined town from Burnley, now managed by ex-Mariner Brian Laws, The young striker joined Burnley in 2007 and had been prolific in the youths and reserves last season scoring 40 goals, He was therefore named youth team player of the year.

Fletcher signed a professional contract in March 2009, He'll go straight into the squad for the visit of Cheltenham.

In other news, Paris Cowan Hall will not be fit after being struck down with a case of tonsilitis.
