The Dream Lives On

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 28/04/2010

GRIMSBY'S slim hopes of avoiding relegation out of the football league were given a boost last night after relegation rivals Barnet lost their game in hand at Accrington. Should Town beat Barnet on Saturday they will go into the final game of the season just one point behind the Bees.

A win at Burton for the Mariners would see Town secure a miraculous escape, should Barnet fail to beat Rochdale at Underhill on May 8th.

However if Grimsby do not beat Barnet on Saturday the dream is over.

Accrington were deserved winners of the tie last night, which was Barnet's second successive 1-0 defeat.

A report of the Accrington game will appear soon from one of the Town fans present at the game.
