MIDFIELDER Anthony Church has joined BSP rivals Alfreton Town on loan until the end of the year. The former Boston midfielder has slipped down the pecking order at Blundell Park after being injured at the start of the season and the management team would like Church to get some match time.
Town have granted permission for the 24-year-old to play in the cup against Carlisle United on Saturday, although the Mariners have said he is not allowed to play in FA Trophy games.
When Church returns to Blundell Park his first game back could be against Alfreton. The Mariners are due to play the Reds on January 7th, provided neither of the sides survive until the 3rd Round of the FA Cup which also takes place that day.
