Kempson Departs

DARRAN Kempson has left the club after his contract was cancelled "by mutual consent". The centre back, who has captained the side this season, had six months left on his contract at Blundell Park.
Rumours were circulating earlier this week that a training ground bust involving Kempson led to the player being fined have been denied by the club. He joins fellow defender Lee Ridley who was also released early recently. Neither Ridley nor Kempson have really been replaced as their positions in team have been taken by loan players at the moment.
There are now a dwindling number of players at the club who arrived before Rob Scott and Paul Hurst. Those who remain are: Bradley Wood, Michael Coulson, Kenny Arthur, Scott Garner, Robert Eagle, Serge Makofo, Rob Duffy, Andi Thanoj, Charlie I'Anson and Sam Mulready, two of who are on loan at other clubs.
