Town Win But Rue Late Goals Elsewhere

TWO Shaun Pearson goals from corners either side of half time, and a much improved overall Grimsby display, saw them dent Gateshead's hopes of reaching the play-offs.
In fact but for a cluster of late goal in the games involving the teams around Town in the table it would have been a very successful afternoon. Kidderminster amazingly came from 2 goals down with 4 minutes to play, and somehow managed to win 3-2 with substitute Nick Wright scoring a hat trick. Southport also scored an injury time penalty to rescue a point.
Grimsby now have to rely on Kidderminster and Luton slipping up in their final 3 and 5 respective games. It's still theoretically possible for Town to finish in the top 5, put it means that Town have to rely on beating Wrexham, Telford and Southport and hope that all the 3-4 other teams have a poor run in.
