Nuneaton v Grimsby Team News

GRIMSBY head to Nuneaton for their last game before Wembley. The final at the weekend is obviously a big distraction, but tonight's game at Nuneaton is far more important in the grand scheme of things.

Town have lost their last three games, although they probably "deserved" to get something out of at least two of them. Injuries have played their part, and several players have been carrying knocks during the recent hectic schedule.

Ross Hannah (foot) missed the Cambridge game, but has trained and should return. Captain Craig Disley (hamstring) is doubtful and will face a late test. Sean Pearson (knee) is also a doubt, but it is hopeful he will play. Derek Niven (groin) is not expected to be involved, so Frankie Artus may continue in midfield - or possibly Naylor, depending on whether Pearson returns in defence.

Liam Hearn had a taste of first team action at the weekend, but may not make it as far as the bench this time if Hannah comes back, as with him Town will have four strikers available to the squad.

Nuneaton will be hoping Town's minds will be elsewhere as the West Midlands side are desperate to pick up points to fight their own battle against relegation. A last minute win over Lincoln at the weekend was a massive result for Nuneaton and they will have got real belief from that that they can pull away from the bottom four. A win tonight would lift Boro out of the bottom four above Lincoln.

Nuneaton have only lost one of the last six games, and that was a narrow 1-0 defeat to Kidderminster. They are not expected to make any changes from the side which beat the Imps. Winger Connor Taylor (arm) and Mark Noon (leg) are both ruled out again, but defender David McNamee will be on the bench again after recovering from an ankle injury.
