GRIMSBY Captain Craig Disley has signed a new deal that will keep him at Blundell Park until the end of next season. The central midfielder has kept faith with the Town bosses to build a new team despite the mass exodus of players last week.
The 31-year-old told the Grimsby Telegraph: "There were never any doubts for me really. I've enjoyed my time here and as soon as I was offered the chance to stay here, I took it. My family is settled here, my kids are happy in school and there's no reason for me to want to leave the club. I feel it was right on my part to sign the new deal straight away."
Although Disley expressed his concerns about the players leaving he said he had faith that the managers would bring in new blood that would allow Town to challenge at the top of the table again next season.
