Grimsby v Salisbury Team News

SCUNTHORPE striker Connor Jennings has joined Grimsby on loan and will probably start against Salisbury on Saturday as Town bid to shake off a disappointing run of results which has seem them drop out of the promotion places.

Jennings was on loan at Macclesfield earlier this season and scored 17 goals in a 19 game loan stint before returning to League Two leaders Scunthorpe.

Other than that Town are struggling with numerous injuries. Winger Joe Colbeck (ankle) will be out for at least a month, centre back Clayton McDonald (hamstring) will be out for two weeks, and striker Oumare Tounkara (quad) is also ruled out. Paddy McLaughlin and Aswad Thomas remain doubts as well due to recent knocks.

Paul Hurst therefore has few options in most positions other than to pick who is available.

Salisbury, like the last opponents Southport, have proved difficult opponents to beat whenever Town have met them. Grimsby have never won when the sides have met, and have only managed a draw in one of the three games. Earlier this season Salisbury won a scrappy game in Wiltshire by a solitary goal.
