Grimsby v Wrexham Team News

Date: 11/04/2015

CARL Magnay returns for Grimsby against Wrexham after missing out on the Easter Monday game at Alfretron. However his replacement John Gowling (foot) is doubtful and winger Christian Jolley (hamstring) is ruled out of the clash.

Town slipped up in their last game against Gateshead, but they simply have to win today if they are to have any hopes of winning the title. Barnet and Bristol Rovers are both at home, and the pair are expected to win in ties against clubs not involved in the promotion battle. Grimsby need to win and hope that one of both of them drop points.

Grimsby have won the last three games against Wrexham, who have nothing to play for today. The Dragons have a quality squad of players thought and can't be ruled out. They have somewhat underachieved this season in the league - in terms of weekly wage bill the Welsh side are on of the biggest teams in the division, so they certainly have the ability to thoroughly test Town.

However the FA Trophy games - a probable reason why Wrexham have done poorly in the league - have left Wrexham with a long injury list following 5 games in 14 days.

Leading striker Louis Moult (achilles), Neil Ashton (achilles) and Dean Keates (ankle) are all doubts while Luke Waterfall (knee), Elliott Durrell (groin) and Ross White (groin) are all definite outs.
