JACK Mackreth and Josh Gowling have both agreed new contracts with Mariners, making four of the twelve players from last season who were offered deals that have now signed.
Mackreth, a summer signing last year, has had a good season on the wing, featuring in 44 games, scoring four goals, and receiving just two yellow cards. 31-year-old Gowling played four games on loan from Kidderminster at the end of the season in defence, and scored on his debut against Alfreton, only the twelfth goal of his professional career which began in 2002.
There have been all sorts of rumours of potential deals with other clubs for the other eight players who have been offered terms by Grimsby Town, but at the time of writing nobody has jumped ship just yet.
Town though look well on the way to assembling a squad for next season comprising at least half of former players.
