FULL back Danny East has joined Grimsby Town on a one-year contract. The former Pompey defender is returning close to his home town of Hull, where he started his career. The 23=year-old never played first team football for the Tigers, but has played nearly 40 games in the Football League.
East can play at left and right back and has also been used in midfield by Pompey. The Hessle-born full back is the first new signing for Town, who now have 12 senior professionals at the club. East is basically a replacement for last year's Player of the Season Carl Magnay who left to join Hartlepool United.
