Welling v Grimsby Team News

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 08/01/2016

GRIMSBY head to Welling for Saturday's game with the struggling Kent side. The match is said not to be in doubt despite the heavy rain.

Cnnor Townsend has left Town after his loan spell from Hull as he has joined League One rivals Scunthorpe in a permanent deal. However Paul Hurst has extended the loan of Cnnor Henderson from Crawley. The former Arsenal midfielder has spent a month on loan with Town although he has not seen much first team action

The Mariners otherwise have a fully fit squad to choose although Josh Gowling (knee) and Andy Monkhouse (Achilles) have niggling injuries which won't stop them playing but could see them possibly drop to the bench.

The match is a game which Town need to win to make up the two points dropped to Guiseley at the weekend. Town have beaten Welling the last three times to two clubs have met.
