FULL back Evan Horwood proved to be Grimsby's only signing of Transfer Deadline day. Paul Hurst had been hoping to make a couple more deals but they fell through during the course of the day.

The Town boss now has the emergency loan option available to him, although free agents who have no club can still join during what remains of the season.

Left back Evan Horwood has played for numerous sides mainly in the Football Lead, including Hartlepool, Tranmere, Scunthorpe and York. The left back made 29 appearances last season for Northampton. He has played just once this season for the Cobblers.
