Macclesfield v Grimsby Team News
By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 28/03/2016
GRIMSBY head West to Macclesfield with no fresh injuries. The most likely reason for any change is Paul Hurst resting players due to the heavy schedule. Town have a tough run-in between now and the end of the season and it's likely that a few fringe players will get their chance at some point.
The Mariners have three first-teamers ruled out. Jon-Paul Pittman picked up a shoulder injury in the Bognor game, and wingers Marcus Marshall and Andy Monkhouse are both ruled out through injury.
Macclesfield have no new injuries either, but top scorer Kristian Dennis returns for the Silkmen, who raised a few eyebrows with an impressive 3-0 away demolition of Gateshead on Saturday. That was achieved without Dennis, so there's no guarantee the forward will go straight back into the side, as their form prior to the Gateshead result was mediocre.
Macclesfield are something of a bogey team for Grimsby, and the Silkmen have won on their last two visits to Blundell Park. Town have a better record in Moss Rose however, where they have won for two of the last three seasons.
