Grimsby goalkeeper James McKeown tried to join Shrewsbury easier this week but the two clubs could not agree a transfer fee. McKeown had expected never to play for Grimsby again, but he was unexpectedly catapulted into contention again following the shock recall of loan 'keeper Dean Henderson by Man Utd.
Inevitably McKeown had to be the hero of the day thanks to an injury time penalty save which rescued Grimsby a point. Chris Clements had given Town an early second half lead, heading home a Ben Davies cross. Luton fought their way back into the game after the break and scored a deserved equaliser thanks to a Vassell header from a Ruddock cross.
The game seemed to be heading for a draw until the 95th minute when Collins was penalised for handling the ball. Inevitably, with it seemingly written in the stars following the week he's had, James McKeown once again showed the management team and players that he is still a good 'keeper that can save points as well as lose the odd one with a mistake.
