Stevenage v Grimsby Team News

SCOTT Vernon is ruled out for Town in Saturday's away game at Stevenage after the striker suffered a calf strain during the warm-up before the Coventry game. Either Harry Cardwell or new signing JJ Hooper will play up front in his place.

Midfielders Sam Kelly, Chris Clements and Sean McAllister are all in the squad after injuries, but striker Akwasi Asante (upper leg) is still ruled out.

For Stevenage midfielder Jack King (groin) is the only player not expected to be fit.

Last season the two games with Stevenage saw the two sides of Grimsby. Town thrashed Stevenage 5-2 at Blundell Park but were well beaten by Borough 2-0 in a one-sided game at Broadhall Way.
