GRIMSBY are faced with a 700-mile round trip in the first round of the FA Cup. The Mariners have been drawn away at League One Plymouth, the only consolation is they are bottom of League One.
Grimsby have yet to win any sort of cup game since returning to the Football League, although the draws have not been kind to them, being continually pitted against higher division opposition.
The tie takes place on Saturday 4th November.
In other news Grimsby have signed full back Reece Hall-Johnson in a one-year deal. The former Norwich and Braintree player will provide cover, primarily as a full back.
