Rumarn Burrell Leaves

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 25/05/2019

GRIMSBY striker Rumarn Burrell has left Town to join Championship outfit Middlesbrough for "an undisclosed fee". The 18-year-old had made just four substitute appearances at the tail end of last season, and had shown promise, but had never started a first-team game at Grimsby.

Burrell did well in the youth team and scored 32 goals over his two years at that level where he caught the eye of the Boro scouts.

The sum received, rumoured to be around the £100K mark, is welcome but given Town's lack of goals last season it's disappointing to see a prospective answer to the problem depart before he has barely started his career.
